Wired for the Future has been around since 2001. We started out as a full home wiring company and then decided that there's more computers than there are homes and stuff like that.
So we got into the IT side of things. We were on about 2,800 to 3,000 computers, servers max. At that time, I think we were above three or four people deep, maybe five. We were making money. We had a good clientele, but I had nobody to lean on.
"We did just over a quarter of million dollars of hardware plus professional services."

We were word of mouth at that point to get new clients. We were looking for a community to join, and Tech Tribe has been one of those ones where it is absolutely the best $50 I can spend far enough. That's why we joined. The benefits that we've gotten out of that since, that group of friends at this point, or brothers and sisters because we've gotten together at events, we can literally lean on each other if something goes wrong or you need to find out, why am I having this issue? It gives me a direct line to just absolutely lean on after we joined. That's more like the entire Tech Tribe group is everybody just gives.
So we put an email out to anybody who we had that was running 12 servers that were still clients, that were still hemming and plying on whether it was Windows 7, but they didn't necessarily have the budget when we spoke to them, let's say in January. So this was one where I could send out an email to, and I think we sent it out to about 30 clients, and it hit. So we did just over a quarter of million dollars of hardware plus professional services.
Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. Reach out to suppliers like the Tech Tribe, like some of the distributors who have programmes in place to bring you together with other people. The amount that I've got from Tech Tribe in the years that I've been a member has been astronomically well, has been astronomical in just our revenue and has given us such a community to lean on.
